Bike to Work Day 2013

Burlington Bike to Work Day Breakfast:

We had another successful Bike to Work Day event in downtown Burlington! Smart Commute Halton, in partnership with the City of Burlington and the Burlington Chamber of Commerce, hosted their 2nd Annual Bike to Work Day Breakfast and brought out many cyclists.

A big thank you to our speaker, Mayor Rick Goldring, and our exhibitors including MEC, Rock and Road Cycle, Burlington Sustainability Department, Planning Department and Department of Transportation, Car Free Sunday, Halton Regional Police, Burlington Transit, and the Burlington Cycling Committee for coming out bright and early to kick start Bike Month with us!

Halton Hills Lunch Time Ride and Picnic:

The Town of Halton Hills hosted their annual noon hour ride that departed from the Civic Centre and finished at the Georgetown Fairgrounds with a picnic. Over 30 cyclists came out for the ride including Councillor Fogal. A special thank you to Mayor Rick Bonnette for joining us at the Fairgrounds! Thanks everyone for a great turn out and a great Bike to Work Day!
